Hello, I’m Terri — the heart behind Buzz Club Connection.
My journey has always centred around people. For many years, I’ve supported individuals with learning disabilities, mental health challenges, children, the more senior members of our society, people with dementia, and those who simply need connection, reassurance, or a listening ear. I’ve learned that everyone shines in their own way when they feel seen, valued, and understood.
I’ve attended many workshops and training courses over the years, deepening my knowledge of emotional wellbeing, safeguarding, thoughtful communication, and creative engagement. These experiences have shaped the gentle, grounded way I work.
I am a qualified counsellor and hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Adult & Child Social Care.
My approach is always person-centred. I believe every individual has a voice — and deserves time, space, and patience to express it. I support people to stay as independent as possible, celebrate their strengths, and make choices that reflect who they are. Behind every diagnosis or condition, there’s a lifetime of memories, stories, humour, and personality.
I take my ethical responsibilities seriously. Working with vulnerable adults requires trust, warmth, respect, dignity, patience and consistency. I create a safe emotional space where people feel comfortable, included, and cared for — just as I would want for my own family.
Our small staff team are trained and experienced in working with the more vulnerable individuals within our society. This includes people with learning disabilities and physical disabilities, people with mental health problems, and the elderly. We are aware and sensitive to individual needs.
All staff hold an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) document and carry Identification cards. We are very passionate in what we do. We think that’s important and reflects on the support our service offers.
Through Buzz Club Connection, our goal is simple: To bring moments of joy, spark connection, stir long-loved memories, and create a sense of belonging. Whether through creative sessions, quiet companion visits, or shared storytelling, we love watching confidence grow and spirit’s lift.
